September 11^th 2011 This year we are having a Patriot Week kick-off and tenth anniversary 9/11 commemoration at the historic Fort Wayne in Detroit on Sunday September 11^th 2011 from 1-5 PM. The day will feature a tribute to first responders, historical re-enactors, live cannons, student led presentations, family friendly activities, student led presentations, music, and several dignitaries. September 12^th 2011 On Monday, September 12, The Oakland County Bar Association's Diversity in the Legal Profession Committee and Thomas M. Cooley Law school are pleased to present a Patriot Week Panel Discussion: "Diversity and Equality in a Post 9/11 World: Have We Crossed the Precipice of Intolerance?" September 13^th 2011 Please join us at the Birmingham Uptown Theatre for a special movie presentation of "One Soldier's Story" on 9/13 at 7:15 p.m. This inspirational film documents the life and sacrifice of one of nation's heroes, and how his family took their loss as a force for good in the lives of our soldiers overseas.
